Spring break

Sorry I haven't been since last week. We were so busy all of last week and into the weekend, that we just need to take a breather. We will get back to school later this week. So stay tuned.

Another Park Day

We were supposed to go to the library today and go to a sign language class.  The class was for beginners and I was going to use it as a refresher.  But AB did not want to go.  She was in her bed and pretty much refusing to get dressed.  I then mentioned bubbles and the park to her...surprise surprise...she jumped right out of bed.  We went to a new park today and LOVED it.  Although it was quite far.  I think we will go back though.  I forgot to bring my camera but took a few on my phone.  But I'm too lazy to upload them =).

Here are pics from school today.  Class time took place after nap.
C is for cupcake.  We are doing C this week by the way.  Did I say this already?
Checking out her sensory box.  She actually found it this morning after she saw all the beans were put away in a container, that were on the dining room table.  I think she thought in her head, "hey wait a minute.  If these are here, what's in the sensory box now?"
 Finding her letters

This is her thinking face.  She is so cute.  AB will say, hmmm...and then asks a question.  Or will say, hmmmm...and then answer the question.
 Erasing the new chalkboard
 daddy tracing AB
But she wanted to watch, so daddy just drew her body

daddy showing AB how to trace her hand
We said, but your eyes and nose.  Look at her eyes!!  Good right?
She is trying to trace her hand

She just wanted to do this much and then back to the chalk board
AB let me trace her hand and then she wanted me to trace my own
All those squiggly lines are her trying to trace her hand
These little eggs came from the sensory box.  She was counting them and saying their colors

Play at the Park Kind of Day

What a beautiful day!  AB and I spent the day outside.  We met up with a new friend at our local park on base to play and eat.  We were there for at least an hour and half!  Then had a nap and went back out to the park with our mommy group.  Why I didn't get any pictures of the day, I have no idea!  We did manage to have "school" this evening.  But just barely.  She was very tired and wasn't into very much.

This week, we are doing a St. Patrick's theme and all of the stuff came from Over The Big Moon.
 Shadow match up.
 Memory
She seriously beat me!  I wasn't even trying to let her win.  No excuses for me.
Counting and coloring the correct number
Gluing and finishing the pattern.  She just matched up the picture.  I had her put the glue first and then put the picture down instead of putting glue on the paper first.

What Has Mom Been Up To?

We have a trip coming up soon and I have been busy getting AB's busy bag ready.  I always like to take a bag full of things that will keep her occupied on our long car rides.  These are things that are in her bag.  I will also bring along her favorite books and of course, the iPod.  Which has apps, movies, and tv shows (Super Why! and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse).

These number cards are from The Handmade Home.  I printed them on card stock and laminated.  I put them on a ring so they were easy to handle.
This is still a work in progress.  It won't fit on her tray, so this might have to be something we do when we get to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  An idea would be to put it on a cookie sheet and then use magnets.  But I'm not sold on the idea yet.  Any other ideas?  Anyway, I got it from Homeschool Share.
ABC puzzle, shape puzzle, lacing, and constructing all in one pack!  It's the Lauri Toys Primer Pack.
 Triangle (anti-roll) crayola crayons
Crayola dry erase book.  There are other pages that I should of shown but forgot about them.
A notebook of plain paper and stickers.  She can put the stickers in the book or draw.
Silly putty egg.  If she isn't in to the silly putty, its okay.  I know she will love the egg!  She's into eggs right now.
A six piece puzzle I got a Micheal's in the clearance bin.  Looks scary.  We'll see if she likes it.
I won these at Dave and Busters.  She loves bracelets and balls so I'm sure these will keep her occupied for at least twenty minutes.
A bag I made to hold all of her stuff.

I will also be taking "school" on the road with us and do a unit on Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! book.  Its a lap book from 1+1+1=1.  She has a soft travel tray from Brica.  Here is a link to the tray.  It attaches to her car seat.  I will take a pic soon and put it on.  Its in the car.

Catch Up

It would appear as if we haven't had school lately, but we have.  Thursday and Friday we were in the classroom doing the same things we had done earlier in the week, so I didn't take pictures.  Next week it packed jammed with errands and play dates.  I'm hoping we can still squeeze school into the afternoon, after nap.  Monday will be okay, but Tuesday we are going to a sign language class and Wednesday we will be off to the zoo.  I'm very excited about that!  Its been forever since we have been there and I miss it!  Then on Friday we will be having a St. Patrick's Day party.

While I didn't take any pictures of school stuff, I did manage to take a picture of a project we did.

While we were at Micheal's, I found one of those things you put the beads on it and then melt it together.  I have no idea what its called because I didn't pay attention.  But here is our process.

I colored the tops of the pegs with blue so AB would know where to put the plastic bead things.  She's going to make a butterfly!
Obviously, we payed no attention to the color scheme it wanted us to follow.
All done, before we melted it together.  I helped a lot.  Those little things are hard for little hands!
 Ironing the butterfly together
Didn't melt enough so it fell apart.  I had to put it back together...
and then I ironed it again.
As you can tell, she absolutely loved it!

Busy Busy Day

Just mostly pics tonight.  Its late and I'm ready for bed.  We went on a field trip and then when to a park for lunch and play.  Here are our pics from the day.  I'm pretty sure AB had no idea what we were really looking at and the museum was quite small. It was a bit pricey to get in as well.  Not sure it was worth the money but a great experience none the less.
