Long post...3 days worth

Tuesday the 11th...

I had to take a three hour glucose test, which is really like a four hour wait around test.  So I left Dad to do school with AB.  He said it takes a lot of patience.  HAHA!  Ummm..duh!  But he did manage to get the lesson plan done and take pictures.  Can't ask much more than that!

Dad said AB had trouble with patterns.  I already knew this but we keep plugging away.
She has gotten so much better at her pre-writing practice.  Everyday week I notice improvement.

Color by number...never did this before.  But Dad said she did really well on it.  AB asked me to hang it on the wall with the rest of her art.  So I did.

Wednesday the 12th...

I had this field trip set for Tuesday to end the D is for Dinosaurs theme.  But since I had my test, we moved it to Wednesday.  It was also a nice way to end Dad's last day of vacation.

We went to the Museum of Natural History AKA Sam Noble Museum.  It was the first time we had ever gone.  This was the last week to see their special exhibit, Chinasaurs.  We didn't take any pictures in there because we aren't allowed.  It was a smaller exhibit or rather smaller dinosaurs.

We took pictures of the rest of our trip though.  Here they are...

Touching and smelling the bison fur

Finding clues with her magnifying glass.  She always uses it to "find clues".
 In a Native American canoe

Pretending to get squished by the huge elephant.  I don't know why I didn't take a picture of how huge this elephant is.
 Exploring the discovery room

Thursday the 13th...

We did school and then headed to the zoo with some friends.  Its always nice to get AB out and about with friends.  It is also nice for me to talk to other moms and be social!

Working at following directions and making shapes.
She had a hard time making triangles, so I'm helping.  We then had to count and write the number of shapes below.
I wish I had taken a picture of this finished.  We still have the paper, so I think I will later to show how she has progressed.
AB doing patterns.  She did SO well with this.

Mixing colors to make green, purple, and orange

 haha...very dark purple

more like red-orange than just orange
