There is no arguing with a soon to be two year old about the importance of doing "school". Especially, when she thinks "school" means, she can play with her "beads". It is the first thing she asks about in the morning, after telling us good morning. She just didn't want to have anything to do with it today, proclaiming "all done" when I gave her something to work on. Needless to say, we didn't do very much today. It was very cold here, only getting to the mid-twenties, so we stayed in pajamas all day. AB did do one new activity. Although, she wanted nothing to do with the other two I showed her.
Objective: Color sort...putting the correct M&M onto the animal with the same color of the candy. I placed one M&M on each animal to show her what to do. In the picture, the blue and the green candy are gone because she picked them up and put them back into the bowl. She did eat four of the M&M's after she placed a few of them onto each animal. By her birthday, mid February, I want to have her classroom up and running. I ordered trays today, to put on the shelves. That way, she can choose what she wants to do instead of me giving them to her. Although, now I just lay them before her to choose. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Wish me luck!
