This evening, I had one of my happiest mommy moments. I was laying with AB, trying to put her to sleep, I started singing my night night songs. Since she was a baby, I have always sang the same three songs to her when I put her to sleep. They are "Twinkle twinkle little star", ABC song, and "you are my sunshine". There I am, laying next to her and singing, when she starts singing some of the words. I was overjoyed. I even teared up a bit.
She has been singing the words from songs for a while. We would be watching her favorite movies that have songs, she would start singing with the character. Truthfully, that amazed me when she first started doing it. But because she has been doing that, tonight shouldn't have made me so excited. But it did. They were OUR songs. And we were singing them together.
